Just a short drive from Inveraray (towards Lochgilphead) brings you to Crarae gardens at the west shore of Loch Fyne. It's said to be the closest Scotland has to a himilayan garden.
Crarae not only has lots of interesting plants and a very appealing walk through natural and planted woodland but it also has a sizeable car park, cafe and gift shop.
Some unusual plants include eucalyptus trees and thick bamboo! Open Easter to September.
How to get there: Located on the A83 just west of Inveraray towards Lochgilpgead.
